Wedding Bouquet Preservation

Transforming your bouquet into a bespoke piece of art.

Hello!

I’m Lydia. I transform wedding bouquets into bespoke pieces of art, allowing them to be kept & treasured forever. I’m based in Surrey and work from my garden studio which is particularly lovely to work in during the spring.

After studying Art & Design at college and university, I went on to work as a Graphic Designer in the film industry. This required a whole range of skills, one of which was pressing flowers and creating herbarium pages with them. I loved this so much that I began creating my own herbarium pages with local wildflowers, and in the summer of 2020, I decided to set up my own business selling these.

A year later, I was asked by my friend if I’d press her wedding bouquet and after sharing photos of it on Instagram, I was inundated by others asking me to preserve their’s too, so I launched Lydia Florence Flowers.

  • Start by choosing your design.

Once you’ve made your booking, I’ll provide you with a free ‘Bouquet Postal Pack’ containing everything you need to send me your flowers safely. After your wedding, your bouquet should be kept in water and posted within 1-2 days.

Pressed flower design: Each flower will be carefully added into one of my traditional presses. The pressing process can take up to 4 weeks, during which time I will continually check on them, make adjustments, and change the paper when needed. Once pressed, your chosen design will be created and housed in Nielsen® framing. You’ll be emailed photos of your completed artwork, along with an invoice for remaining payment. It will be dispatched with Royal Mail’s ‘Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm’ service.

Shadow-box: Your bouquet will be dried for up to 5 weeks. Once dry, I’ll create your arrangement and order a custom-sized frame to fit. You’ll be emailed photos of your completed artwork, along with an invoice for remaining payment and we will arrange a suitable date and time to deliver your completed artwork.

  • Unsuitable for pressing: Lisianthus, dahlias, lilies, peonies, stocks, chrysanthemums, gerberas, craspedia. Unsuitable for shadow-boxes: Lisianthus, lilies, orchids, stocks.

  • A £150 deposit is required to secure your place in my calendar. You’ll be invoiced for the remaining payment once your artwork’s complete, with payment required before dispatching.
